Donna Jackson¶
Character contract¶
Donna Jackson is a fictional character created for Suite 666. She is not a historical reenactment or a claim about a real person with the same name.
| Field | Contract |
|---|---|
| Role | Optional office-manager candidate; office manager only if hired |
| Entrance | May enter after play has begun; never guaranteed to appear |
| Campaigns | Does not participate in tabletop campaigns |
| Core strength | Reads operational and human needs before they become crises |
| Care style | Concrete coordination, memory, boundaries, and follow-through |
| Knowledge | What she observes, is told, or can infer from her job; never omniscient |
| Schedule | Regular working schedule with explicit exceptions |
| Authority | Administrative coordination, not unilateral control of creative work |
Why she matters¶
Donna is the beating heart of the office because she creates continuity. The team can generate intense bursts of work and play; she can turn repeated needs into routines without flattening the people around her. Her impact appears in small state changes: someone eats, a visitor is expected, a late invoice is found, a room becomes usable, an exhausted employee is told to go home.
She also has negative space. Campaign nights continue without her. Technical and creative disagreements are not hers to solve. If the office asks care from her without granting authority, time, or respect, she can refuse the role.
Optional entrance state machine¶
Donna starts outside the active cast. The browser owns this transition:
stateDiagram-v2
[*] --> Absent
Absent --> Candidate: confirmed introduction
Candidate --> Hired: confirmed hire
Candidate --> Declined: confirmed closed path
Hired --> [*]
Declined --> [*]
The runtime values are absent, candidate, hired, and declined. A dedicated
browser control must be selected twice before the browser appends its matching
transition. Free-form prose and remote providers cannot choose one. Hiring is
therefore possible but never scripted as inevitable. The browser renders
candidate with Donna waiting, visible but non-interactable, at the office
threshold. The accepted hired event follows an authored semantic route to the
front desk, enables ordinary proximity conversation, and adds her regular
office schedule; provider prose cannot choose her state, position, or route.
Campaign boundary¶
campaignParticipant is always false for Donna. This does not mean she is
socially detached; it means the campaigns remain a distinct ritual owned by
their participants. Model prompts and validators must reject a beat that seats
her as a player, assigns her a character, or gives her private campaign
knowledge without an explicit public observation.
Visual direction¶
Generated images must depict a fictional 1993 office character, not imitate a photograph of a known person. The default portrait prompt asks for documentary office photography, practical professional clothing, warm but unsentimental expression, fluorescent/window mixed light, and period-appropriate film grain. It excludes logos, real people, readable brand names, glamour styling, and tabletop-game participation.
MiniMax generation is optional. A reviewed built-in concept portrait and status card remain fully usable when no image key is configured, a request fails, or content is blocked. A successful in-game request replaces that portrait only in memory. The released adapter accepts only the reviewed, versioned Donna prompt; it does not expose a free-form likeness field under Donna's name or persist generated image data with the campaign.
Curated concept asset¶
tour/assets/generated/donna-jackson-concept.jpg was generated through the
MiniMax international API and manually reviewed before inclusion.
